About Ngoma- The Rhythmic Roots of Zanzibar
Enjoy a vibrant and exciting drumming experience in Zanzibar’s only historic botanical garden, opened in 1870 by British botanist John Kirk. Its unique flora and fauna make it a lush oasis in the heart of Zanzibar town. The workshop sets the scene with a vibrant presentation of the island's key rhythms; before learning about the role of ngoma (drum & dance) in Zanzibari customs.
